Software Asset Manager

Our Software Asset Manager is responsible for software license management that supports mission generated requirements and maximizes cost savings to the Government. Serving in this role you can expect to be responsible for the following:

Software Procurement Support

• Software Procurement Support

  • Assisting the customer with inputting requirements into the associated customer requirement management tools.
  • Reviewing, processing, and monitoring software requests submitted by a variety of customers and reporting status as required.
  • Actively managing the processing, monitoring, and reporting of software license needs
  • Assist IC customers conducting market research to identify common software licenses currently in use by customer. 
  • Assisting government personnel to coordinate and transfer documentation in support of contract, funding, and legal issues.
  • Develop and support management of all pre-award and post-award procurement documentation 
  • Assist in purchase actions, to include performing market research, developing cost estimates, drafting acquisition documentation, gaining agency corporate approvals, and drafting funding documents.
  • Communicate and coordinating with appropriate Government personnel on various technical, contractual, legal, and funding issues to enable successful award of software procurement actions.
  • Assist the software asset management strategy development process by recommending and analyzing various software license acquisition options or alternatives. 
  • Assist in the preparation of acquisition documentation and briefings 

  Software Asset Management

  • Utilizing all appropriate requirement, contracting, business, and software management tools for the purpose of managing customer software assets on a periodic and reoccurring basis.
  • Maintaining file documentation inclusive of, but not limited to: the delivery order/purchase order, modifications, receiving reports/invoices, license keys, Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act compliance, and any additional acquisition and funding documentation.
  • Provide analysis and recommendations for the most efficient software licensing approaches and models.
  • Assist the transference of software to the appropriate documentation and reporting to reflect such transfers.
  • Assist with the customer internal processes for the total lifecycle of software asset management.
  • Identify and track software scheduled to be discontinued and removed from systems or software agreements.

  Billing Support

  • Supporting the customer billing process through customer engagement, communicating billing information, deadlines and policy, and identifying, documenting, and resolving issues.

A combination of eight (8) cumulative years of experience in which six (6) is focused demonstrated understanding, knowledge, and familiarity in the following:

• Software asset management in either the government or private sector
• Office productivity tools (i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent writing and oral communication skills
• Superior organizational skills and detail oriented
• Facilitating meetings for large or small groups

**Additionally, candidates must have an ACTIVE TS/SCI prior to applying**

A combination of demonstrated experience, knowledge, and familiarity in the following:

• Supporting NRO and/or other IC elements/DoD
• Working with multiple NRO Components
• Department of Defense/NRO contracting processes
• NRO's acquisition tool
• Ability to work independently and as a team member under tight deadlines with changing priorities
• Strong data management skills
