WiSC Enterprises is seeking a Technical Advisor (SME) to provide expert technical and analytical support to complex government programs and mission-critical systems. The Technical Advisor will lead assessments, analyze operational challenges, define user requirements, and recommend process, system, and configuration changes that improve efficiency and mission effectiveness. This senior-level role requires deep expertise, the ability to navigate competing priorities, and strong communication with senior stakeholders.
Conduct research, data collection, and analysis to support studies, assessments, and projections.
Compile findings and prepare inputs for technical reports, operational summaries, and program documentation.
Perform assessments of complex systems and processes; recommend and institute changes to improve efficiency and performance.
Plan and conduct studies of work problems and procedures (e.g., organizational changes, information flow, production methods, cost analysis).
Recommend improvements or modifications in workflows, sequence of operations, and equipment utilization.
Examine current and planned operations to define and coordinate user requirements that meet total program needs.
Translate user requirements into system specifications, configuration management plans, life cycle management documentation, and integrated logistics support plans.
Develop and write specifications, manuals, and user documentation for client and end-user personnel.
Engage with users to gather requirements, define work problems, and design processes or systems to address operational gaps.
Provide expert input and leadership on high-visibility, complex projects, advising senior stakeholders on strategic direction and technical feasibility.
Active Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
Education and experience meeting SME-level requirements:
PhD + 10 years of relevant experience, OR
Master’s degree + 14 years of relevant experience, OR
Bachelor’s degree + 16 years of relevant experience.
Proven track record of technical advising and systems analysis for U.S. government or defense programs.
Expertise in requirements definition, systems specification, configuration management, and process optimization.
Strong ability to understand and communicate program context, history, priorities, and competing stakeholder interests.
Skilled in developing and implementing strategic plans in collaboration with senior leadership.
Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to brief stakeholders at all levels.
